Lakeland Firefighters Benevolent Association was founded in 2018 by Lakeland Firefighters. The start up of the LFBA was established with the idea to help out firefighters in their time of need and help with support programs in the areas of peer support, education, and wellness. To promote the development and implementation of ongoing support and programs for the health, welfare, safety, and education of firefighters and the greater community in which they serve.

Being a firefighter is more then a job! It is a calling to help our fellow men and women in our community in their time of need 24/7. That calling to help serve the community we work in does not stop when we come off shift. It keeps going as we look for areas in the community that we can give back to. From raising funds for a children's

That calling to help serve the community we work in does not stop when we come off shift. It keeps going as we look for areas in the community that we can give back to. From raising funds for a children's museum, to helping out a burn victim with a recovery program, or helping that family left homeless after a house fire. We, as LFBA, look forward to being of service to our great community of Lakeland by being involved in community projects to help make a positive impact, and give back to this wonderful Lakeland community.

Firefighter Support and Wellness
From firefighter to firefighter, we think of ourselves as family members. Sometimes one of those family members requires assistance from one of our programs such as, peer support, or a health and wellness program. The LBFA is there to support their fellow brother and sister in a time of need as any family would do to ensure the health, wellness, and happiness of the family.
Scholarships for Firefighters' Family Members
LFBA awards scholarships twice a year for LFD family members that are looking to reach their dreams through higher education, either in college or a trade school.
Current Community Project
Working on fundraising for Bonnet Spring Park Children's Museum. In the new museum that is part of the new park, there will be an interactive section for kids to learn about being a First Responder. LFBA will be funding the Firefighter section so kids can learn more about the amazing career of being a firefighter for Lakeland and serving this great community.
